The CAEM has corroborated the authenticity of a beautiful seascape, signed by Ramón Martí Alsina. It is a work produced during a particularly difficult period in the artist’s life, when he was affected by several family misfortunes. The painter’s sense of fury is reflected in the work: it depicts a sea whipped by the winds of an approaching dark storm. A theme resolved with great conviction and strength, reflecting the powerful seascapes created by this great artist, an introducer and leading representative of Catalan Realism.
