It is an unpublished work by the painter Lorenzo Suárez, an excellent master of the Murcian Golden Age, who trained with Philip III’s court painter, Bartolomé Carducho.
Settled in Murcia from the early years of the seventeenth century, Suárez entered the most illustrious artistic circle of the city, such as Cristóbal de Acebedo and Juan de Alvarado, a painter who was also his teacher.
