In this Goyaesque composition, the brushwork stands out for being soft, calm and somewhat polished. Many painters followed and imitated the Aragonese master: Leonardo Alenza, Asensio Juliá, Eugenio Lucas Velázquez and even the latter’s son, Eugenio Lucas Villamil. After several months of research, the CAEM team concludes that this piece, La boda del jorobado, which can be dated from the first third of the 19th century onwards, is especially close to the style of Eugenio Lucas Velázquez.
