The work has been confirmed as a creation by the great driving force behind Catalan Modernisme in painting, Ramon Martí Alsina (Barcelona, 1826–1894). It is a romantic oil-on-canvas composition depicting a beautiful young woman in a garden. The vaporous quality of her dress is proof of the style of its author. The artist made several copies of this work on different occasions, as it was one of the most appreciated by the various allegories of the seasons he offered. In this case, it is a work executed with ease which, nevertheless, loses none of its delicacy.
